Over the years we have designed two separate extensions for this property. The first was a proposed first floor flank extension over the existing garage and utility room areas. The second was a light and airy single storey rear garden room extension to link internally the existing kitchen and dining room areas. The extensions carried out have transformed this family home into a special place, allowing the family who live in it to utilise the extra available extension spaces as required.

The design brief for this property was to demolish an existing poor condition garage and to replace it with a linking flank extension at ground floor level to provide additional home working and living space, together with new utility area. We also added a new dormer window to the rear facing elevation to provide more light to a first floor bedroom.

Once a listed building, this property was de-listed before our involvement, which enabled us to design a sizeable two storey rear / flank extension addition for our Clients and their growing family.

The semi-detached property was originally a relatively small country cottage. Our design relocated the main entrance point into a single storey linking extension which also connected the existing to a proposed two storey rear extension, making the best use of the sizeable amount of land available within the plot ownership of our Client.
